Busy, Busy, Busy

Sorry that I haven't been posting. I have been busy this week, school work, exams and getting ready for blog hops; the usual. I throw in zombies next week. I'll explain on a later date. (I have find someway to keep you coming back.) ^.^
To catch you, dear reader, up with my crazy life would be long, boring and involve many cups of tea. So the more important news is that I sold Prometheus's flame this weekend, yay! and other good news is that other people would like a pair so I might be selling more. Also one of my high school friends contacted me and would like a pair of earrings. I'm getting busy; I don't know if I have the time. But I'm considering opening up an Etsy store, that way I'm not doing everything through Facebook. *sigh* Oh, look beads...It's just a simple necklace that I made over the weekend, I like necklaces that I can layer together. The eye charm is from green girl studio. I have a few of her piece and generally like her work.

....And this is my lunch,Grilled Stickies to Go
with earl grey tea, so healthy, right? But the grilled stickies form the dinner down in State College are to die for, especially with ice cream, and I caved. I'll make it up my having a salad tonight for dinner.

Prometheus's flame

In Greek mythology, Prometheus was the creator of mankind. The goddess Athene taught him architecture, astronomy, mathematics, navigation, medicine, and metallurgy, and he in turn taught them to humans. Zeus, the chief of the Greek gods, became angry at Prometheus for making people powerful by teaching them all these useful skills. When the gods chose Prometheus as arbiter in a dispute, he fooled the gullible Zeus into picking the worst parts of the sacrificial bull by hiding them under a rich layer of fat. To punish Prometheus, Zeus withheld fire from men. "Let them eat their flesh raw," he declared. In response, Prometheus, snuck up to Mount Olympus, lit a torch from the sun, and hid a burning piece of charcoal in a hollow stalk. He slipped away with it and thus delivered fire to mankind.
Is my history geekness showing yet? Well, I have always had a love of any type of mythology. I tend to use it as a jumping off point for most of the creative things that I do, for instance these earrings.

Cake (is a lie)

Here's my cake and I didn't burn the place down. Yay!

Birthday

It's my birthday today, and I'm 19 years old. Only 2 more years to go, so close. And yet, I'm spamming my blog with My Little Pony birthday pictures. There is something wrong with me or society. Going with the second one. It's also the first birthday that I will be spending on my own, which is strange. I mean I am going home this weekend to celebrate and other family members want to see me. I don't know it just feels strange and sort of lonely. *cough* Anyways, I got a mini microwavable cake to celabrate. So that should be interesting. Hopefully, I will not make a mess out of my dorm. What sucks is that I can't even take the night off, I have 4 quizes due tonight at midnight. So I must get back to work, perhaps if I have time, I will post pictures of how the cake turns out.

Warning! Boredom can lead to doddles.

Right, you try focusing on 5 speeches a day that all really talk about the same thing and not end up doddling or daydreaming. And so because of my speech class I'm sharing my lovely MLP:FiM artwork with all of you.(it's Derpy Hooves) The first one is the orginal, followed by one that I ended up changing the background on picmonkey. Have I mentioned how much I love picmonkey? It's nice for editing pictures of your jewelry and it's free. Which is always good. Anyways off to my speech class, and another 5 speeches...so more doddles maybe?

Get Smart (Tea)

Happy Early Birthday to me! I hope the tea works, though I'll drink it anyways. \^.^/ Also mom brought me homemade pumpkin donuts with spinkles. Yummy!
Sorry, if I sound extremely exicted and hyper in your head while you read this, it's just that it's the first day of my favorite month, October. So many things coming up: my birthday, Urban Gaming Club's HvZ (Humans vs Zombies), a couple of blog hops are due and of course Halloween! I <3 October!
This weekend I also recived a necklace from my parents. It's an octopus that's made from a fork. I wish my skills were this good. Oh well, practice, practice, practice. (Also I'm not allowed a blow torch in the dorms, I wonder why? ;p)
